Started off this week GIF making. GIF animation is harder than I thought. I had some difficulty using GIMP. Early this week I posted a blog post called ‘Bill Cosby, The Face Of Many Faces’ about my GIF making experience. I have to keep doing my research to find a GIF exporter that work best for me.
Also this week, I completed the daily creates and had a lot of fun doing it too. The first daily create I did was tdc 402 which was to ‘Take a picture of something brand new’.
I chose this image because I always say I dont want to get married because its too much commitment and based on the look and price of these rings it too expensive. This is not my hand. I am only 19. It is my friend’s hand. She just recently got married and is happy.
I also completed daily create assignment tdc 403 which was to ‘Take a picture of something, cut it up and piece it back together in a different way’. This was a cool idea because I have been wanting to do an assignment like this for a while.
I chose this picture because I spend a lot of time trying to analyze beauty in the media and beauty within the girls minds. I know a lot of girls have trouble with expecting their natural beauty and being who they are including myself. I chose this idea because a lot of woman read magazines and in these magazines we see the idea of a perfect woman. A lot of woman DO NOT look like these woman and with knowing this a lot of woman battle with depression and disorders in order to try to look like these models. I chose to rip and piece it back together in this way because a lot of woman even models go to great standards to be a certain way and look a certain way and it tears them apart. Everything may look alright out the outside but on the inside they are broken and I wanted to portray that in the best way I could.
Another daily create assignment I chose to do was tdc 406 which was too ‘Take a picture of something you made, be it food, art, or something else’. In order to be a CT major, it was recommended that I take photography. I learned a lot in the three classes we had so far. I was able to go out and take pictures using my film camera. I was a little nervous because unlike using digital I wasn’t able to see the turn out of each frame. In last week’s class I was able to manually develop my roll and I was surprised that I had on the best rolls in the class.
I was really proud of myself because it I learned that sometimes I just need to trust my knowledge.
The last daily create assignment I did was tdc 404 which was ‘Take a picture of your greatest success or triumph. Make it creative and artistic!’.
‘Visiting Ours’ was a show that premiered in May of 2012 that I co wrote with my cast mates.This show was my baby because I really had to push myself as an actress to live up to what I wrote and portray my character in this best way because I was telling someones story.
